    • Description

    Discovery Studio is a protein modeling program that contains tools to visualize, analyze, modify and simulate protein structures. University and polytehcnic researchers working in Finland can install Discovery Studio into their local Windows or Linux computers for academic research.

    Discover Studio is a commercial program by Accelrys Inc. CSC has purchased a national license for Discovery Studio. In year 2006 the license allows access to following discovery studio modules:

    Usage

    Discovery Studio 1.6 has been installed into sepeli.csc.fi cluster. The prgram (only the client part) can be started with command 
         DiscoveryStudio
    However we recommend that in stead of using the software remotely form CSC you install it to your local computer. The program is available for Windows (2000 or XP ) and Linux operating systems (Red hat Enterprice linux recommended). Discover Studio consists of client and server software that can be installed into same or separate machines. Your compuer must have a static IP address in order to be able to use the floating license provided by CSC.

    To get Discovery Studio to your local machine, please fill the Accelrys license agreement and contact Kimmo Mattila (kimmo.mattila_at_csc.fi).
